Make sure you take the salad out of your water intake 2X PER DAY, (filter AND check the hose) or you will over heat. xx

09/13/2010, Fonda
Made it to Fonda, a threat of severe thunder storms, and La Vita over heating a bit; we decided to call it a day in Fonda and yes it is the home of Henry Fonda. Paul is in his play room...( you should be there too Jeff...LOL)) Getting us ready to go in the morning. We did five locks to day 17 to 13. At 40 feet Lock 17 is the highest vertical lift lock on the canal system. (see gallery pic's)
Weather was hot, cold wet, hot and nice to day LOL. We have met another couple Randy & Dawn. We have been playing leapfrog with them down the canal system; their boat is "Nirvana Now". They too are heading to the Caribbean.

Man things change fast! Sideways rain, 52 brrrrr... LOL Woke up at the locks and plowed through 5 more. Staying in pretty Little Falls. The rain has stopped. Showers open at 8 should be on our way by 9. Weather looks nicer for tomorrow.

We say that the best part of boating is the people. Thank you Wayne and Helen of Brewerton Boatyard for getting the parts we needed so quickly and a special thanks and a hug for getting me to and back from St Joseph's and your hospitality.
We headed out across Lake Oneida. It was calm sunny warm and a mere 5mph wind. Then back into the canal, through three locks and stayed on the wall of the forth, a beautiful little park! A great day
