La Vita Chases the Horizon!
Got Johnny off the dock he he he
11/01/2010, Galesville

Sorry no Internet for awhile. After a wonderful time with T & L ( hugs and Kisses & thanks for the great send off... we will miss you) We got Johnny and Jasmine OFF the dock!!!! Two hours into our adventure Johnny had a misadventure with with Jasmine. We rafted up to him in the middle of the channel and Paul jumped across into Johnny's toy room. Against pounding waves and a lot of crashing Jasmin was up-and going, we were on our way to Galesville. Once arriving, after navigating our 14' beam between two 15 foot poles up-to the tiniest 1/4 slip I have ever seen! we docked. We cracked open our first drink when we heard a lot of noise coming from our neighbor (not Johnny LOL) The guy beside us was sinking and then Paul jumps between poles with 110 bilge pump with an inch and a half hose. The poor guy had water up to the seats in the salon.... Yuck The next day we went to fuel Johnny up only to find out that they had no fuel and the delivery would not be in until late today. so tomorrow we will be off to Solomons.

Can't wait it's going to be a superb week end. We got back to the boat from retrieving the car about 10 PM . I'll be more than happy to give you a hand with the furling and reefing tasks. Looking forward to seeing you two. Let's talk in the morning unless you're still up. Did Johnny make it?

Lucky you didn't have to do Manasquan at night in a storm as I did in 2001. Manasquan makes Atlantic City's entrance look like a super highway.

We are in Manhattan at rocky choppy 79th Street Marina on a mooring ball....Man it will be a long night!

Coming under the bridge heading into the marina we hit 11.9 kts, A push from the tide but still a strong head wind with gust of 21 and an opposing current. I have video that I will post later! How much fun is this he he he!

Hey Kat & Paul - Glad to here you are progressing south bound so well - We're not doing so good yet as we are still stuck in Nova Scotia (Yarmouth) waiting for weather that will allow us to cross the Gulf of Maine then get on south from there. Keep it going safely and wee'll hopefully catch up with you somewhere on the coast. - - Fair Winds my friends.
