It is now midnight or very early in the morning of Wednesday 9th August 2017 and after heading North in very comfortable conditions through the night changed course to West with the backing wind at 4pm, even unfurling the full jib. Not for long though. By 10pm had it half furled and now with two reefs in the main look forward to the rest of the night with reasonable conditions on a beam reach. One of the must do jobs is to replace the jib with the much smaller staysail, the opportunity for which should occur as I sail Ito the centre of a low on Thursday morning.
