Hustling Along
28 August 2017 | 320 Miles West of Mandurah WA
7:30pm Monday 28th August 2017 ( UTC+8 ) Still with just the jib up L'Eau Commotion has been surging along with a fresh 20 knot quartering breeze and averaging over 7 knots for the day. Trying to finesse the formation of a high due to form in the next day or two, the course has just now been altered to WNW with only a slight drop in speed. The heavily overcast sky still managed to yield a couple of amps from the solar panels and the cut down blades on the wind generator have been doing a smooth and productive job so there are no issues with power and plenty of ways to cut down usage should that become necessary. I did not sight Alby the albatross today so maybe tomorrow I'll put out the fishing line - that's if I feel extra energetic.
