Circumnavigation Part 4
12 October 2017
4:45pm Thursday 12th October 2017 ( UTC+1 ) In this fourth photo you can see the route from Hierro to the Horn is practically unchanged but then I divert after passing and head up towards tropical Tahiti. Nobody, but nobody, tries to sail the real great circle route among the icebergs. There are other possible ways to comply with the rule sailing out of Brisbane that I have had a cursory look at but not examined. Possibly Good Hope, the Horn and either an island near Vancouver or in the Aleutians off Alaska but I'll leave that for others to contemplate. And if you've been following the timelines of these transmissions you will see the rate is so slow it makes even the NBN look fast. --------------070406070609070500020803--
