What more could a Man want? Well, the theory of everything , of course. So here it is. The basic formula is E + m 0 In the unbounded universe the E, or energy, takes the form mainly of an all pervading force acting in all directions and strongest the further it is away from mass. As mass intervenes some of this force is shaded with the result that mass is accelerated towards other such mass resulting in congregations of dust, comets, planets, suns galaxies and suchlike. As they get bigger and accelerate towards each other collisions of various intensities occur resulting in shattered rocks all the way to nuclear explosions. The bigger the better, the real doozies being the supernovae. Some mass is destroyed before this, some mass is created with the total or partial explosion of these masses such that fresh elements and bits of rock and lots of light and rays and particles fly out. That's it. By way of elaboration but in no way contradicting the above light is the disturbance set up in this force field and travels at a velocity inverse to its strength. Gravity is not an attractive force but rather the result of a mass cutting out some of this force, in our case the Earth beneath our feet. And when mass is mentioned it is the generic word for what we are accustomed to have around us. Hydrogen to Uranium ( and all their isotopes and compounds ) found in Mendeleev's Tables. The Protons,Neutrons,Electrons and their composing quarks and bosons to the left, the unstable Transuranics to the right. And whilst it is not logically possible to exclude any eventuality, this model of the Universe does not require the introduction of Cold Dark Matter, Anti Matter, Neutron Stars, Black Holes or a Big Bang. Back to the rhetorical question. Bright sunshine,a sparkling blue sea, a fair fresh breeze and the theory of Everything. What more could a Man want?
