2017 San Carlos Yacht Club Christmas Dinner

Some explanation may be in order. We're Jewish. However, this is the second time I've attended this event. This kind and loving couple sat at our table and, although we didn't eat the ham, the rest of the meal and especially the desserts were great. We were welcomed, especially the kids among so many old ex-pats or winter show birds living in San Carlos. The guy we sat with wasn't too much older than I, except
That he and his wife were retired. It was a beautiful, sunny, breezy winter day in the Northern Sea of Cortez. Not too many Heislers experience Christmas Dinner, but this was special because of the Yacht Club
element - it promises the hope for connection that supersedes religion, age, socio-economic. We were asked to donate like 500 pesos, which is like $30. It all goes to charity, a program that supports the education of local kids. One came and spoke her thanks in broken English read aloud. These people are doing good for the community and have always been welcoming. Thanks.
