Arriving in San Carlos at the start of the cruising season

by Warm, but nice.
I departed Thursday morning early and had a long uneventful drive to San Carlos. It was the end of October and the winter cruising season was beginning. There were large cruising boats practically filling Marina Seca and plenty of work going on to ready them for the sea. During my entire stay, I watched a stream of amazing sailboats put in by the huge hydraulic tractors. I do enjoy getting to live in the cruiser's world for short periods of time, even if I cannot join them for real. With my little 25 foot cruiser, I can enter their world and feel and experience the excitement of bringing the sailboat to Mexico, preparing the boat and putting it into the water, and anchoring it in the bay. Then going off and handling what comes, be it adversity or bliss, and everything in between. If only for a week or so.
