At Sea
02 August 2014
• Somewhere along the Southern California coast
by Keith, great weather overall
This is pretty representative of the sea during most of this voyage from San Diego to Catalina Island and back. Sometimes more swells, particularly when closer to shore or around points (which cause the shore to extend far outward into the sea, so its kind of the same thing), sometimes more overcast (mornings), but mostly like this during the heart of the day. I liked it a lot. When you are out there and you know nothing is happening any time soon, you can step away from driving the boat for periods of time and just relax and enjoy, there's nothing else to do but that, and over time that relaxation and meditative clearing of the mind and body fills in that which was previously occupied by the stimulus of land.
