Bottom cleaning before pulling out of the water

by Nice and warm, with a breeze
Boker Tov, which has never been bottom painted, spent well over a week in the seawater during the warm season. The first time we brought this sailboat to San Diego Sarah and I spent an hour or more scrubbing the hull with hull remover to take off the growth. The boat was in the water less time on this trip, but I suspected it still had growth and I've learned that it is best just to have a diver do the bottom when pulling out of San Diego. By chance, I ran into a diver just as I was about to move the boat to the ramp. For $30 he agreed to clean the bottom. He was a guy from Argentina. He had a tank on shore and a long tube leading to his breathing apparatus. I watched him scrub the hull from stern to stem, then he went deeper and scrubbed around and under the keel. One day I may have to bottom paint Boker Tov, but not so far. Another nice thing about a trailorable sailboat.
