I met this Canadian gentleman and his wife while anchored in the little protected cove in San Franciscito after island hopping across the Sea of Cortez. They were retired and cruising their 27 or so foot 1960s vintage sailboat all around the Sea of Cortez and had also sailed up to Alaska and numerous other places in that boat in addition to truck and camper camping around Latin America. Nice couple. They gave me fish. I had them over for drinks. They liked the Catalina 25 and thought it quite roomy and capable to sail long distances. We went adventuring together in my zodiac and hiked into the desert looking for caves. Didn't find those, but we did find beautiful rock formations and some nice cruising friends. We exchanged photos through e-mail months later. I'll try and find those and post one.
