Beach Near Our Marina
10 April 2016
A five minute walk, or in our case a short drive and walk, led to a beautiful beach access overlooking Catch 22 Bay. The sea was calm and the weather was nice, but with strong sun. we've made good use of a beach tent on this trip. The kids played and we relaxed and walked up and down the beach and it was as good as it gets. When we returned to the sailboat, the guys were already working. Among other things, the main pump unit on the head is busted. We tried a used replacement but that was busted too. We've been using disposable bags in the bowl instead of flushing. Several projects got done on this trip, but there are many to go before it is ready to take out cruising. Last night seemed calm and I would have gone out, but it got unexpextedly blowy in the early morning, I could still hear the waves pounding when I awoke before dawn. Best that we were safely at dock. Now I'm watching the light come on from the main hatch as Sarah and the kids sleep. Blessing that there are no mosquitoes.
