The Pod Arrives
Spring
04/30/2008, Keith's House at Boulder Canyon

It's really happening! I started to feel the excitement when the truck arrived with the POD this morning. The next several days will involve storing things from the office and the house. Lots of things to be done in preparation for upcoming adventure.

Wind Generator Arrives
04/29/2008, Keith's House At Boulder Canyon

Things are really starting to transition to travel and adventure mode. First the 9 foot poles arrived. They will be used to mount the system. This morning I looked outside my front door and the generator itself was sitting there. I couldn't wait to open it up and have a look.

In spite of the pecular amount of regulation involving dirt bikes, Dave took his son for a very short ride up the hill and back.

Morning At The Lake With RV Friends
Keith

I took the Bounder and the dogs up to Apache lake on Friday after work. I've been going there for years with friends from Tucson. Nice people. Good times. Lots of toys, a laid back attitude, and time to enjoy. These guys don't just sit around. They are the sort that always have to be doing something. My favorite part is using the trucks and ropes to get all the RVs out at the end of the weekened. This time I had to tie a rope from the back of my motorhome to a F-250 4/4, which was tied to my friend's motorhome, which was stuck in the sand. We got it out with enough time to enjoy a wonderful fresh pizza dinner outside Forence, Arizona before the sun set.

The Desert Blooming

04/25/2008, Killer Hill

Killer Hill is what my ex-cousin-in-law Guy calls the neighborhood walk I was taking with the dogs when I came across this little specimen. I don't think it is native to Tucson, but it seems to be thriving. I'm detecting a nature/animals theme in my blog. Nice. Fits with my change of identify of late from trial lawyer to adventurer/naturalist. Maybe its not a change but rather emphasising one over the other. As such, I've got court in the morning and again in the afternoon and then I'm off in the Bounder to lake Rosevelt with Jake and Anne to meet numerous human friends. We have been doing this RV trip as a group for years. All the RVs come together in a three sided square to make a little community in the courtyard. A few more days of litigation next week, and then its May 1 and the next phase begins.

More Deer Outside My House At Boulder Canyon
Keith, Spring, 2008
04/24/2008, North Tucson

Sometimes when Anne barks outside, there really is something. We have deer-like creatures that inhabit the neighborhood. They walk past my house in the desert as part of their morning routine. I've posted about them before. We will miss them. It is nearing the end of April. Things are changing in my world and it is bitter sweet.
