On the road again

Cheryl's Notes:

Yea! We are fixed and on our way again. Pete came to the boat this morning at 8:30 and the heat exchanger was replaced by 10:00. We paid our bill, started the engine and were on our way by 10:30. We had a little scare when the engine looked like it was overheating, but the thermostat burped, the coolant flowed through and we were okay. The good news is that the boat is working, the bad news is that between the repair and marina bill, we spent a little over a boat unit. Those of you who are boaters know what we mean.

We got a late start, but made it to Church Creek. It was a really nice spot and we pulled in next to a giant mega yacht. They must have been on a day trip, or maybe they wanted more privacy, because they pulled up anchor and left by dinnertime. Then we had the whole spot to our selves. Our plan is to leave early tomorrow morning and make it to Beaufort.

John's Notes:

Amazing! Everything seems to be working. I don't want to press my luck. We are still early into our trip. There is plenty of time for things to go wrong. Almost to a boat, everyone we have become friends with have had some sort of major problem. Our friends Harley and Janice had to rebuild their transmission. Frank and Debbie had to rebuild their anchor roller from a crash they had with another boat when theirs broke loose from a mooring ball. All in all, we seem to be holding our own. If only my wallet could say the same thing. New rule. Whatever can happen, probably will.

Great anchorage. The mega yacht left and we ran naked all over the boat. Are you picturing that?????
