Go for broke

Cheryl’s Notes:
We slept in a little today. Actually, that meant laying around in bed while the fishing boats rocked us with their wakes. We slowly motored up the canal. We topped off fuel tanks at the Hancock County Marina and grabbed a last bag of ice. We then motored across the water and tied up to the city wall. We wandered the little shopping district and went into the Ambassador for lunch and internet.
We are now trying to decide whether to take a hop down to Ontonagan or make a long crossing to Stockton Island. The closer we get to home, the more anxious we are to see all of our old friends.
John’s Notes:
Considering that yesterday was a 60 mile trip, we might as well go for broke tomorrow and end up at Presque Isle at Stockton tomorrow. It’s only 82 miles. If we start early, we will be there before dark. Long day, but that will be the last one for awhile.
We will move to the upper end of the waterway this afternoon and be ready to start out early in the morning.
