This map shows how the long outer walls protecting Cusco during the Inca times were. As discussed in the blog, the shape of the outer walls was in the the shape of a Puma. The head of the Puma is where Saqsayhuaman is.

This 100 ton block has 10 corners. Each side that comes into contact with the next block has no space between them.

Even the corners of the walls are individually carved. Amazing!

There is an Inca myth that says if you touch the big stones, you take away with you a part of the engery that is in the stone. Here I am getting all the engery I can since both Mary Margaret and I were so tired!
