We were treated to a beautiful sunset.

This is what a Fairy Penguin burrow looks like. It is a hole in the sand that is hidden by the overgrowth that creeps along the sand dunes. Note the down that is scattered in front of the burrow.

As we walked to get a better view of the sun setting. we found these two penguins resting under the boardwalk. They were in the molting phase so they had passed the day enjoying the warm sun and air.

After dinner, the sun was setting so we hustled over to the Nobbies, to catch the sunset and photograph a few penguins before the penguin parade started. The offshore rock outcroppings are called the Nobbies. They and seal rocks, located a bit further out, are home to 20,000 fur seals.

As evening drew near, we drove over to the village of Rhyll where we enjoyed a pizza dinner overlooking the bay. This is the view we had.
