After lunch we were served this bowl filled with betel nut leaves, thin slivers of another type of nut, cloves and a contained filled with a spice that was like nutmeg. You wrapped everything up in the leave and popped it in your mouth. The nut is hard like a shell of a nut so you just chewed, chewed and chewed some more. When you were done, you spat the mixture out because it was not something that you wanted to shallow. It left the mouth very refreshed.
