This past week was the second week we have been in Arizona with our grandchildren and our children. WOW! Three generations! It really is daunting to realize we are the ceiling (in the age bracket) since our parents have passed, and we are watching another generation grow up. It is fun to think about how our parents thought and we think about our grandchildren. We are so blessed to be able to experience this stage in our lives.

With that in mind we went to the Tucson Zoo with the whole family! What a lovely day it was! The weather co-operated and the sun shined bright and the sky was blue! The zoo is a moderate size but it was just perfect for all of us. We will post lots of fun pictures. We spent close to four hours walking around and Christina made a lovely lunch for all of us to share. Christina and Michael are very experienced parents and know how to handle two children under three so there were no crises to deal with! That works great for Dave and me, since we just watch and enjoy the time with the family. I have to admit I look forward to the time the grandkiddies come to the boat by themselves and we take them sailing and swimming for a few days! All in the name of giving the parents some down time!!!! Both children, I have to admit, are really smart and understand a great deal. I know – I know obnoxious grandparent syndrome is showing but it is true! So it is fun spending time with them.

The rest of the week we shared some meals with the family and did more “chores” dealing with our lives on land. We finalized some travel (in the US) plans, wedding duties, boat projects and just played! We saw a movie, called Mortdecai with Johnny Depp. It had some cute and funny moments but we only would give it a 6 out of 10. In case you are interested!
