Just a note to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday. It means a lot to know that you would make the effort to offer your best wishes. As I get older (and older and older...) the more I realize how important friends and family mean to both Mary Margaret and I. The world revolves around relationships and keeping them close to one's heart is so very important. Thank you again!

My special day was great. Not only was I able to spend it with my brother Don, his wife, Debbie, her dad, Dan, and my wife, Mary Margaret, but was given a special treat by having my niece, Sarah (who just got married earlier this month) come up from New Jersey and my daughter, Heather, come over from Albany, NY. She had just finished conducting a training session for her company, United Health Care.

As you may see from the photo above, we had all my favorite foods for my birthday dinner: killer spare ribs, killer potato salad, killer corn on the cob, killer salad and, of course, killer margaritas! It was great! We held off on having birthday brownies and homemade killa' vanilla ice cream until Sarah and Heather arrived well into the evening. They both came from such far distances and during a work day to boot.

It was a very special day and it was great to feel the love that was offered from so many people. Life is good!
