Bye bye Nepal!

Trekking statistics:
- Trail: 150km and 11,000 altitude meters in 3 weeks
- Daily averages: 9km, 600 altitude meters, and 4 hrs walking without break
- Highest points reached: 4600m (two times)
- Highest night: 4400m
- Temperatures: -10C to +25C
- Encountered animals: some yaks and birds, plus quite a few bedbugs, intestinal worms and stomach parasites (yes, we are still alife!)
Congratulations to our three mountain goats!

Project visits:
We also visited 8 different 'girl empowerment' projects in Kathmandu and surrounding valleys, and got a pretty good feeling of the charity industry in Nepal, as well as what works resp doesnt work. The meetings were generally of very high quality and tremendously motivating.

Kathmandu:
We also spent numerous hours strolling the super-busy streets of this most amazing city, with its myriads of temples, stupas, street vendors, shops, bicycles, cars, cows, dogs, hidden streets and corners.

People:
Most of all, however, we will keep in memory the many smiles of the beautiful and lovely people of Nepal.

Namaste, Nepal!
