The Cottier family's Tour du Monde 2010

21 December 2010
PC
Trip statistics:
- 350 days on the move (of which 7ms sailing + 5 ms travelling by plane & overland)
- 6 continents
- 26 countries
- 150 km of beautiful trekking
- 7000 km of even more beautiful sailing
- 7000 km campervan (who needs space, anyway?)
- 3000 km jeeps + cars
- 80000 km flights.

My personal favorites:
1. Sailing the Caribbean with our dear Libellule
2. Visiting NGOs and development projects particularly in East Africa
3. Trekking in Nepal
4. Sightseeing China (yes, we really do have THREE daughters!)
5. Aussie animals.

Worst experiences:
Not many really. Grumpy immigration & customs officials. Poor internet and WiFi connections in most places around the world. Lack of space in Campervans. Dahl Bhat and stomache aches in Nepal. Corruption and nepotism in Africa.

Fazit: A really great trip, and a truly wonderful and unforgettable experience for the whole family !!!
