Virginia Beach Visitors - AlyiaAlyia
Hi my name is Alyia. I am so excited that I am going on this trip. I feel like we have so much in common. I just want to say Hi to your family and I hope that you are having a good time right now. I was just thinking about what things we are going to do when we are on the boat. I want to learn a lot about leadership because everyone around me is such great leaders and I want to be the best leader possible. God is so great and has shown me many things in my 12 years. One thing that God has shown me is that when I grow up He has given me the gift to become a famous Gospel singer. I also want to be a Supreme Court judge. I feel like when I meet you in person you will help me a lot with my leadership and help me to learn even more about God. Even though all of the people are older than me who are going I feel like I can still reach my goal of helping you on the Liberty Schooner. I got chosen to go on this trip because of my awesome grade and my great desire to serve God with all my heart. I can't wait to see your family there! See you Monday!

Meet the CaptainPhilip
05/11/2009, Schooner Liberty
Captain Steve sailed with us on the week-end, and what a joy to have him aboard. Steve has known the schooner longer than us, since he had spent a season aboard her while she worked in Key West, FL. Steve is fantastic with kids, and look forward to spending more time with him this summer. Look out for us at the Mamaroneck Harbor Fest this week-end.

03/15/2009, Jersey City
The Schooner Liberty featured in the Jersey City parade thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Jersey City Sea Cadets. They did a great job decorating their trailer with one of our flags. Mike has made a tremendous effort getting the Sea Cadets up and running in Jersey City, and we look forward to helping them more in the summer. The Sea Cadets teach disciline, and honor which are great virtues for the kids that participate.
