The crew of the schooner Liberty have been very busy here in South Beach. With perfect weather, a lot of varnishing and painting has been completed in preparation of our Coast Guard inspection which is schedule for Monday 23rd. Also a lot of marketing effort has gone into making our winter season a success. Tonight we go to the South Florida Concierge Association function, where we hope to pitch our exciting sailing experience. (Continued...)

Our new home is Pier "A", very close to Miami's famous South Beach, and as soon as the USGC has checked us out, we are open for business. (Continued...)

The crew of the schooner Liberty left Norfolk, VA with a favorable forecast to sail around Cape Hatteras on Monday, November 2nd. The wind was out of the North, about 20kts, but was expected to moderate, and the waves around Cape Hatteras were expected to be in the region of 5-7 ft. Several new crew members joined us in Norfolk, and they spent the first night out getting used to life at sea, by feeding the fishes. (Continued...)

Check out how nice our prop looks after being reconditioned. It appears we must have hit some debris during the summer, slightly bending the tip of one blade. being out of the water is the best time to send it in for reconditioning, and when it came back it looked brand new. (Continued...)

The team from Nycomed arrived early on a chilly, windy Wednesday. The weather didn't deter our intrepid sailors, and after a brief orientation aboard the schooner Liberty, the team assigned roles to each other.
