Most of our summer was spent building and installing paravanes on the boat. After rolling so much last season we decided we needed to do something to slow the roll and be more comfortable. We designed them and did all the work ourselves except the welding. It was a multistage project that included lots of measuring, cutting, drilling, adjusting, etc. Took most of the summer to complete. We were pleased with the way they turned out and hope they work the way we planned. We plan to try them out this season to see what if any adjustment we need. Hope all our hard work pays off and we have a less rolly trip this year.

We planned to leave in October but are still in LA. We had to do a haul out and bottom job. Also had to do a new survey for insurance purposes so all of this has delayed our departure.

We are now ready to leave but the weather is not cooperating. We hope to get out of here early next week. The plan is to make a short stop in Marathon before heading to the Bahamas.
