Miles River
17 September 2014 | St Michaels harbor and Tilghman Creek
Jill / mid 70's and mostly sunny days
Enjoyed watching the yachts, sailboats, and various tour boats sightseeing around the harbor in St Michaels while looking at the exhibit buildings on the grounds of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and The Inn at Perry Cabin from our anchorage. My favorite view was looking at the Hoopers Strait Lighthouse during our many dinghy rides around the creeks and to shore to walk around St. Michaels!!
Traveled out Miles River and anchored in Tilghman Creek, another beautiful creek and wonderful anchorage! s/v Salt Shaker was anchored nearby, so we enjoyed happy hour with our new friends Walter and Gwen. It's always a joy to talk with other cruisers!!
Motor sailed out Miles River and enjoyed a swift and wonderful SAIL from Eastern Bay to Church Creek! Traveled 37 miles in 6 ½ hours with only an hour on the motor – AWESOME!!!
