There are several types of museums in Plymouth and all are worth visiting – Roanoke River Lighthouse, Maritime Museum, Civil War Museum (aka Port O' Plymouth Museum), and my favorite, God's Creation Wildlife Museum. What an incredible museum with a wonderful variety of animals from Alaska to Africa displayed in their natural habitat! A large lion was on display in the lobby and the various galleries included exhibits of deer, fox, wolves, antelopes, moose, sheep, caribou, bears and more. The majestic 708 lb. black bear on display was shot by the owner's daughter and at one time she held the record for shooting the largest bear. What a wonderful collection of wild animals and an amazing museum to visit!!

This evening we enjoyed a steamer pot of shrimp and crab legs at Garden Spot Cafe Steamer Bar. Nice way to end a wonderful stay in Plymouth!!
