The Boat Seems really EMPTY!
25 August 2010 | Prickly Bay, Grenada
It was a sad day on the boat today. . . Thera is leaving. We went for a last snorkel off a reef in Prickly Bay and Thera's sharp eyes spotted a octopus. It had entwined itself in pieces of coral and as we tried to separate it (to give us a better look) it let go and inked us as it swam to another hiding place.
Eventually we had to get Thera to the airport, after checking the bags we had a beer at the bar out side the front of the terminal and chatted. We couldn't let her go and she ended up being the last to board. We watched her enter the plane from the tarmac, turned and stepped right onto a bus. When we arrived back at the boat, we saw her plane fly over head. Marg was so excited, grabbing the camera and shouting at the top of her lungs... As if Thera could hear her cry's of joy and sadness. . . The boat seems really empty.
