One never tires of this Lady

Day 12 - JUN 25th - Friday
We woke up at our anchorage at Sandy Hook. It was a relief to be done with all but one more major journey (the next will be crossing over Lake Ontario to Whitby). We pulled anchor and headed towards one of the most spectacular skylines I've ever seen, new Your City, New York. We stopped for fuel and water at Liberty Landing Marina. We had lunch on land with a friend of Randy's, Norm Lem and his son Marcus., who took the ferry across from Manhattan to New Jersey and walked to our marina. On the Manhattan side, the marina we were planning to go into would have cost $3.00/ft for a max of 3 hours or $6.00/ft for the day.. At the same spot where we fueled up for a few hours...all we had to do was have lunch there and our stay was free... It was a wonderful site to look at the Big Apple from our lunch spot. Later as we cruised past New York City... I could feel the vibe...remember a favourite for my aquafit class, Frank Sinatra's classic song "New York, New York".
Leaving her behind, we headed into the Hudson River and found an anchorage about 30 miles up.
