Tearful Goodbyes
25 July 2009 | Penetang Harbour to Browns Bay
We left around 4 pm.
Dutchman's glistened in the setting sun.
As we looked back, we gazed at the familiar landscape. There was "The Parry Sound" dock-side along the outside wall and the usual variety of sv and pv's tucked quietly inside the seclusion of our marina's fixed wooden docks. As usual, most slips were empty. Very few stay at this marina. Most come here to head out to the Bay and many have left here to travel south. And yes, after their voyage has ended, most always come home to Dutchman's Cove Marina. And yes, we too have come to call Dutchman's home.
