Red Sky in Morning, Sailors Warning
28 July 2009 | Christian Island to the Winfield Basin
First Day out and it was a beauty! But a long day with confused seas and confused wind speeds. Winfield Basin is a well-protected natural harbour near Cabot Head on the north-eastern tip of the Bruce Peninsula. The narrow buoyed channel was a welcomed sight. It was a long day but we all anchored securely with-in. Steve and I had pre-made spaghetti and invited our sailing buddies over for a quick dinner hour and then it was off to bed early. It was very interesting to discuss the trip we just experienced with everyone. Steve and I have crossed the Bay via this route before, but like golf, every trip is different. We hoped for a warmer day tomorrow.
