Day 2 of our winter cruise
Day 2 Thursday, October 22, 2015
What an insane day. Yes, as predicted the 9am opening of the railroad bridge was jammed up. And, then the Great Bridge lock, and then the bridge at Great Bridge, And then the Gilmerton Bridge and then the Centerville Turnpike Bridge and then the North Landing Bridge and after that we sort of spread out a bit until Coinjock Marina. Susan reserved the last spot at 10am for us and also reserved Prime Rib at the Coinjock Restaurant. Great, Just great food.
And our martini was red ruby greatfruit vodka a bon voyage gift from Carter and Nelson Rosser. And we topped it off with one of our home grown limes.
So, it was a very mental day. Not a very relaxing cruise. Tomorrow we depart the crowd as they continue down the AICW. We are going to veer left as we enter the Albermarle sound and head left for the Roanoke sound when everyone will be veering to the right and heading for the Alligator river. Yep, our next stop is Manteo and then Ocracoke. So, I am mentally exhausted from the day trip and my eye is much better than when the high delivery diesel pump spit back into my eyes. That was a big yuck. Wonderful shower on OUR BOAT instead of the shower on our boat instead of waiting for the shower at the marina. I
Anyhow, the TV is doing it’s auto search for channels from the dock here at Coinjock. Maybe a little of the the Black List and then sleep.
Todays picture, my morning rear view mirror.
