Ahhhh...we have finally found the Fiji we were looking for and now the time has come to say goodbye. The western side of Fiji, meaning the Mamanuca's and the Yesawa's has been much warmer, less windy, and has those postcard turquoise waters that most of us only dream of swimming in. The corals and colorful fish are abundant and stunning. It is truly a sailors paradise...with a sick twist. You have to be super vigilant in order to not drive right up on a reef which makes you sprout a few extra gray hairs here and there, but it is nothing a prudent sailor cannot handle. So, don't let anyone scare you off from coming here nor let anyone tell you how crowded and touristy it is. It just simply isn't. This part of
Fiji has as much or as little as you desire of solitude.

We were blessed with a seven day visit with our daughter Jessica! She is always such a sport and up for whatever on the Lisa Kay. She comes with no expectations, just good 'ol family time!

From here we travel to the country of Vanuatu. This archipelago is of volcanic origin and the famous active volcano, Mount Yasur, is what we are after! Definitely a bucket list item!!
