Tamar Swallow is currently out of the water to fix a few problems that came up on the journey. When we looked at the keel and the hull, some interesting marks indicate that we probably did give some sea creature, most probably a dolphin, possibly a whale, a decided dunt at one point. From our recollection of this, Ju was on watch at the time, it was dark, I was as usual snoring away in my bunk, as I was off watch, but Sue heard a bump and asked Ju what that was, and Ju reported that she was wet, as a wave had hit the cockpit. Looking at the scrape on the front of the keel, and further grazing on the antifouling of the hull, we definitely came in contact with something relatively soft (thank goodness).
