Life After Little Else......or Rambles with Alphie!

Liz Ju and Jack travel in our new campervan Alphie, to tour Orkney, or sometimes sooth.

Lochinver to Kinlochbervie

After a very pleasant few days in Lochinver, topped off by a walk to Inverkirkaig to visit the bookshop, only to get very wet indeed during the walk back, we set off this morning early at 7am, and motored the 27 miles north to Kinlochbervie. The forecast was for a south wind, so we were not surprised when it came from the north, and was hardly enough to make the burgees flutter. The sea was pretty calm, and we were visited by a small pod of common dolphins.

We found the entrance to Loch Inchard without any difficulty, and entered the very secure harbour, locating a slot on the pontoon with shore power, water and access to the village of Kinlochbervie. And still the sun shone, so Ju jumped into her shorts for the first time in the six weeks since we set off!
