Today we celebrate the end of the year which saw us sailing off into the blue! We dressed the boat overall today (purists will note we skipped a couple of flags off the bottom of each run, as our Rival 32 has a relatively low mast, and there wasn't room for all of them.)

A visitor!

The highlight of this past week has been the visit of daughter Cathy, from Largs to Lagos. Although the weather was not very warm, it was good and calm enough on Monday for us finally to take one of the boats on the river who offer trips to the grottoes out as far as Punta da Piedade. The trip did not disappoint, with amazing entries into dark caves, oddly shaped rock formations and seabirds on the rocks. I'll put some of the photos in the gallery. This one shows Cathy having fun!
