We have been living on Grace, our 48 foot powerboat, in the downtown harbor in Olympia since September 2012. We share our space with two dogs, Schmoopie and Lanie. If you are Seinfeld fans both of these names may have some meaning. They are our favorite companions while experiencing an ever changing life on the water.
We sold our house this year and sold or moved our possessions into storage. Most of this first year has been involved with trying to re-locate essential stuff so that it is accessible yet not adding to the potential clutter that can occur in smaller spaces.
Our boat is our home these past several months and now we are in the process of transforming our home back into a boat so we can head north during July to cruise through the islands. It's been three years since our last trip there and we are really looking forward to seeing our favorite spots again. We are still building confidence in Grace as a boat and will take it slow and easy this summer.
