Fitted the autohelm. There had been one before so that was a big help as the old rudder indicator mounting was found underneath a lot of old rubbish. Big help. Even the holes were all in the right place. However and there always is a 'however' with these things. The ram on the main drive mechanism was not long enough. I was faced with a choice or redoing the mounting brackets or extending the drive arm. The extension involved welding on an 18 centimeter 'link' to then leave me with it all up and working. So easiest option get it welded. Off to a local workshop. No problem but we cannot have it ready till 08.00 tomorrow morning.... Another delay to our departure. By now I was getting ready to go back to Immigration to explain the delay to our departure.
Highlight of the afternoon was Ken and Ollie stopping by to wish us luck.
