Nowhere to be.

After a two day drive and unpacking two weeks supplies for 8 of us into our bungalow in St Nowhere, Namibia, we enjoyed a steak dinner and a good sleep...
and then the fishing was on.
Faanie caught the first fish, a large blacktail
I caught a nice kabeljou.
Rob caught his big one on day three and was so excited!
We landed some really big fish over the next few days with the largest catch going to Hannes.
We had to toast to Neptune with a shot of Amarula and sweet wine every time a fish was caught - we finished off a lot of both!
We took one day off for a road trip to explore the dry river bed nearby.
We saw oryx, springbok and traces of a wild desert elephant.
and we braaied under a large tree in the riverbed
and felt as tho we were truly in the wild.
Fantastic.
It takes a lot to put a trip like this together:
a shout out to Arnie for organizing it all
and to Brian for keeping us all organized once we got there!
and to Rumpie, our gilly, for baiting the lines and cleaning the fish and vehicles and giving us all a good laugh...
it was a good time.
