A killer moment!

We rounded Cape Caution without too much bumping about on the confused seas.. we had left Fury Cove in a bank of fog early in the morning thinking it would lift. It didn't, not for two days, and so though we visited the Walker Group of islands and Waddington Bay we really didn't see them! Visibility, for the most part, was limited to 25 to 50 feet - thanks goodness for our sonar that detected land and other vessels about us! And for "Downton Abbey", a TV series the kids had recommended and Linda and John gave us, and has us hooked. It filled in those quiet grey days quite nicely!
And then the killer moment:
The fog lifted the morning we headed into Johnson Straits and Nev was dying to do some fishing...
we saw a group of boats we presumed were fishing so we pulled alongside and Nev got a hit immediately his line went out, sending me scurrying to the rooftop to get the big net...
I wondered why no-one was looking at us pulling in this big fish only to realize none of them were fishing!
They were all watching a pod of orcas feeding nearby!!
Forget the net - I ran for the camera instead!
What a fantastic moment! Our first orca sighting! We followed them slowly for about 20 minutes before turning around and heading back down the Straits. So amazing this creation we get to enjoy.
PS: We lost the fish, probably because I didn't get the net though Nev didn't put it quite that way!
PPS: Going down Johnson Straits the currents were with us and BLUE did almost fly: we recorded her speed at 12.9 knots!! Fastest yet!
