Meeting Margarita.
15 January 2015 | Tempe, AZ
Maggie
I woke up to a sunny, windy day and practiced my yoga sequence in my room just one time before heading out to explore Tempe. I love the music I have chosen for my first 30 minute teaching session and I'm hoping my students will be soothed by it as much as I am.
Our hotel is opposite ASU and the sidewalks were packed with hundreds of kids making their way to classes either on foot, bicycle or skateboard. Unbeknownst to them, I felt invigorated by their company as I navigated my way to the yoga studio where we will be spending the next 15 days. With parking pass in hand and a better sense of where I'm headed I made my way back to the hotel wishing my Nev was with me as I passed all these cute and funky restaurants just begging to be explored together... sigh.
This is a great town!
Margarita arrive on the light rail around 5:30pm. I met her at the stop and helped her load up her luggage which was half as much as I had brought!!
But then she is more than half my age and almost half my size...
we had fun getting to know each other over our vegan dinner at the Pita Jungle.
We are both born in October (32 years apart but who's counting??)...
We have the same name in a sense...
Margarita means DAZI!!!
We both sweat lots when we work out and dislike hot yoga...
and she loved that the fridge was stocked and that I'd brought our kettle along... she loves tea too!
How lucky am I?
How good is God to bring us together for such a time as this??
He is good.
He is ALWAYS good!
We did a "selfie" as we left for class this morning...
meet Margarita.
