Unlikely Udaipur.

Udaipur is known as the "Venice of India".
With a population of about a million people, it is a city of contrasts, both fascinating and exhausting.
It is a city of palaces and poverty.
Built on a lake we witnessed a $300,000 wedding being celebrated on an island in the lake while locals washed themselves and their clothing on the banks nearby.
The streets are narrow and cobbled and filled with artists selling their treasures and cows causing chaos with the traffic.
We sat on the rooftop of our hotel, Dico and I, and soaked it all in in the heat of the day over a cold beer before setting out to explore...
and to become "the first client of the day" of each store we visited!
