Triathlon in Huatulco

We have fallen in love with this quiet most southern part of Mexico. There are 9 bays one as beautiful as the next. As we were sailing here, the water became clearer and clearer and we saw more turtles. It seems to be Mexico's best kept secret and the locals like it that way. We enjoyed watching a triathlon which was pre-trails for the Olympics for many of the athletes. I have never seen people swim, bike and run that fast except on television which doesn't give you the perspective on how fast they really move. The bicycles they used looked like they weighed about 1 pound and had little concoctions taped to them with various liquids etc. The woman who won seemed as if she could have run another 20 miles but some women had to be carried off in stretchers. We were huddled in the shade at 93 degrees. Their bodies were beautiful and I became aware that we were observing the greatest athletes alive at this time.
