80's, sunny skies
Dear Friends and Family,
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed the feast. We are in La Paz and falling in love with this slice of paradise. It's been in the 80's in the day and cools down at night. People here are so warm and friendly. The water is warm, nice gentle breezes in the afternoon. Life is slow and easy and the locals are so easy to smile. There always seems to be some excuse for a party, music and lounging around. Nobody is in a hurry for anything. It takes a while to shake off the American pace, but each day we're slowing down too. We got our new propeller fixed and Joel is now working on building a new dingy in the shipyard next door. So we'll be here for at least another month or two. We're staying at Marina Palmira, www.marinapalmira.com, slip 309.
We had a lovely Thanksgiving meal with 200+ cruisers, potluck style. We missed the family but also enjoyed the warm weather here.
I've started a yoga class with some other sailors and enjoying riding my bike all around town shopping for fresh bread, fish, fruits and vegetables.
Best wishes to everyone for this holiday season.
Love and blessings.............
Vivien
