Our son Thomas, his wife Heidi and our two grandchildren, Manaia and Isla joined us in Tonga for two weeks. We had a ball showing them a little bit about the boat, sailing, Tongan life with lots of time spent in the water, on water toys and on the beach. We completed the loop this morning and celebrated with a chilled champagne albeit at 7am! The check in procedures could wait until we were fed and ready to face the day.....

26/08/09, Enroute to Tonga
The voyage started once again fast and furious with strong gusty winds and large confused seas...but the sun is out, the seas have moderated and the winds have become more constant. We are 80 miles out from the northern tips of Vava'u and should be in the landlocked harbour of Neiafu by 0700 tomorrow ready to check in with the Tongan authorities.
