Time flies

17 November 2014 | San Diego CA
Dean
Wow, How time flies! At this time we have made it all the way down the coast to San Diego. There have been some glorious days sailing and a goodly number of days motoring. There have been wonderful days of sunshine, to many days of fog and rain, prevailing noserlies, swell, waves and our share of boat problems. At the time of writing, we are awaiting repair on the boats muffler system. It started to come apart at the seams and no matter home much epoxy we could apply to the areas we could get to, another seam would let go and cause us to ship on water at a not so nice rate. Our bilge pump could manage to keep up and we did assist with the manual as well. It appears that we need a total replacement which means pulling the boat from the water as the muffler lives directly under the prop shaft. You have to love boat designers. We have met so many wonderful people, seen so much I have a hard time thinking of those who have taken, the canon, approach and fired themselves down the coast from Neah Bay to here in 7 - 14 days. It has taken us almost 3 months to get here and I would not trade a day of that trip. Now that we have some time here, I may be able to fill in some of the gaps missing.
