Yes, we are still here!

14 October 2015
A more detailed account of our travels down the coast is coming soon. As a prelude, it did take 4 1//2 months to complete the trip from Victoria B.C. to Mazatlan. It was on purpose but did take a bit longer than expected as there are always unavoidable contingencies such as weather and repairs. Of course, we had our share of both. With the weather, it just meant a bit longer stay in port, with repairs, it just meant a bit longer stay in port!
We did try to cross every bar we could, meet as many people as possible and enjoy everything along the way.
As you can see by the date, it is late in the summer season here in Canada. I will be heading back to Solastra on the 31st, Lynn and Lulu will follow once the bottom work is done.
This season will find us heading north into the Sea of Cortez as we felt we did not give it near enough time last season. It would appear we are not the only ones with this feeling as at least three other boats will be doing the same thing.
Posting dates will not reflect actual times but a second header will give dates as they occurred. For now, take care and talk soon!

About: Dean & Lynn fell in love with sailing while on a "Windjammer Barefoot" cruise. Since 1990 we have owned 3 sail boats, taken lessons and are currently preparing "Solastra" for a southern journey. Now retired, we eagerly await the beginning of our adventure.
Extra: This adventure begins in the middle of our dream. It would be difficult to start from the beginning. Join us now as we prepare to embark on an adventure that we are sure, will be full of suprises.
