:-) Mike on Mahina planning to sail around the world

Mahina is a 1959-60 Hawaiian Tahiti Ketch. With Mike at the helm we intend to embark on a voyage around the world as soon as we can. House is sold! Largest concern is my own health, Mahina will be ready to go this summer!

Sharks

13 May 2012 | Guadeloupe Island
Sunny
Watching Angry Planet

150km off the Baha peninsula on the west coast of Mexico.
They are diving in a shark cage takung pictures of some very large great whites. The group I was with we where looking at anything with wings.
To come up with an estimate of the bird colony we would approach in the dark and as the sun came up we would count as they where all leaving their nests. Sharks where around over 400 000 years ago and have not change

Tom Woodward the dive master who took me on a 100ft scuba dive at the end of the continental shelf off the east coast of the Bahamian Exuma chain of Islands.

We where on Norman's key. Pip is near Little Eluthra on the same beach as the Pink Sands hotel one of the first ocean side hotels in the Bahamas.

Here's a link to see the common sharks hanging around the island, I was not aware, my group was very much busy with their research on Mexican Sea birds.
