I left Mandalay in La Paz and took some needed R & R, I am in Tampa will leave for La Paz tomorrow, plan to stop in DFW for Lunch, then fly into Mexico.

My bag is packed with the following, 2 sanders, 1 heat gun, 100 sheets of sand paper, 90 ft of 7 strand cable for the Mizzen, 2 fresh water pumps, 5 new shirts, 2 new jeans, and 2 box's of See's candy for the friends who watch over Mandalay while I am gone. ( I need a life????) Also parts for some workers in the boat yard.

Not sure where I will head, Hurricane season is closing in fast. have several ports on my chart table, just need to make up my mind.

I am proud to say I am a Southbound Net Controller, Monday & Saturday's are my nights upper SSB Chl 6516. Mandalay has been re-licensed ,she now has a ship station Intl Lic.

It's one step above a SA lic, ( VHF ) her class is ( SB ) ship compulsory equipped, her class is a sailing ship.

Looking forward to my return to her, once she has all her MTC completed. we will get underway, looks like this year it will not happen. Still looking for Crew.

The picture is Mandalay with her sister ship docked beside her. What are the chance's of this happening??

The pictures are just some thing that can go Wrong while underway. Spreaders to blown transmission, to inoperative radar when you need it. All repairs where completed while underway. Note the drive Damper, no springs, all where destroyed when the Transmission was put in reverse at very high RPM's
