Arrived at La Paz on Nov 4th. On the 5th I started making her ready for cruising. Yesterday, the booms , sails, dingy, outboard motors, where removed from below deck for installation. Today we will install four new sea strainers, new hoses. Make plans for her bottom paint, and topside bright work.

I have a slip assignment, three in from the end tie. If all goes well Mandalay could be splash next week. Once in the water, My son Michael will visit for one week.

Weather, during the in 80's at night in the 60's, great for work and sleeping.

The Ha Ha fleet should arrive soon, on big party for all the new boats that came down from San Diego.

Monday 9/22 I will fly back to La Paz with more parts for Mandalay, getting her ready to the next cursing season. Will be replacing the sea water manifold it will be bronze, my old one was mixed bronze & SS, it lasted 15 years however mixing the metals was not ideal . Have new bottom paint applied and splash.

Hello to all, a short note, Mandalay was placed on the hard at the end of June. I am in Vancouver Canada having fun. I plan to leave July 31st and fly to Fla visit family then head to La Paz MX to CK Mandalay ( 3 days ) only. Fly back to Canada and resume what I was doing.

Still in La Paz, plan to either sail south or place Mandalay on the Hard. Will decide at the end of this month.

Today was the last day of my re-fit, this Sunday Mandalay will set sail for a shakedown, we will try and break something and adjust her rigging, running & standing. The new Plot / GPS / depth sounder is installed.

Once all items are checked, we will set sail for the sea of Cortez and cross over to main land Mexico, MTZ, PVR will be our destination's. Bonita will fly home in Mid April, I will remain with Mandalay.
